My first sight of a Hulstlander was a tiny coloured headstudy photo.  The blue eyes were dazzling and I immediately decided I wanted some.

My first Hulstlanders joined in May 2002.  A pair were imported from Holland for me, by Derek Medlock, and I haven't looked back.

TEAGON, when she was first imported.

Hulstlanders have an amazing character, very lively and very inquisitive.  They have proved to have a very good temprament, and all my does have been very good mothers, rearing litters between 4 and 6, with the normal being 6.

TULSETY'S TEAGON - My original imported doe.  Born February 2002.  When Teagon was first imported she was nothing special.  But I took her and the imported buck 'Jayden' around the shows to introduce people to the breed.  The breed were standardised in September 2002.  Teagon matured very well, winning the CC at the Champ Show in October 2002.  She continued to do well and won the CCs at all the big shows - Solent 2002, Bradford 2002, London 2003, Solent 2003, London 2004, with many more CCs and Best Furs gained at smaller shows.  Teagon was very soon the first Hulstlander to be registered as a BRC Gold Champion and Rare Variety Club Champion.  Teagon has had 6 litters and has returned to the show table successfully between litters.  Teagon can be found in the pedigrees of many of the Hulstlanders throughout the country.

TULSETY'S  NEO - Bred from Tulsety's Teagon and Tulsety's Zarek.  Neo was my first Hulstlander to win BIS.  He is a strong boned buck who has a very upright presence.  He is a BRC Gold Champion, and winner of many Best Furs.  Neo is my main studbuck.

TULSETY'S TIA - Bred from Tulsety's Teagon and Tulsety's Jayden.  Tia is of pure import blood.  She did very well at the shows, winning many Best Furs.  She was only one 3 Star Best Fur away from becoming a Supreme Champion.  Now retired from showing, she has recently produced her first litter, of 6.  Some of these babies may be available to new homes.

TULSETY'S KIERA - Bred from Teagon and a buck bred by Penny Cornforth (from Tulsety lines).  This doe has super bone and a lovely broad head.  Kiera is currently been shown, but will be mated to Neo in the Spring of 2006.

TULSETY'S ALTHEA - Bred from Tulsety's Kassia and Neo.  Althea is the last offspring to be kept from Tulsety's Kassia (now in retirement).   As a slow maturer Althea was not shown for the first time until she was a little over 5 months old.  The wait was worth it, as she achieved Best Fur at the Reading & County 50th Anniversary Adult Stock Show.

TULSETY'S MALACHI - A homebred buck, Malachi has a very close resemblance to his Great Great Grandfather (Jayden - my original Import buck).  He has a wonderful short body, broad shoulders and super head shape.  He is quite small, but I'm sure this will be an advantage for breeding.

TULSETY'S ERIN - Bred from Tulsety's Trinity and Tulsety's Tynan.  A lovely young doe that is maturing well.

TULSETY'S ASTRO - Litter brother to Tulsety's Erin.  Astro has a very broad head and good body and shoulder.  His coat is a little soft and he is quite nervous (not a common trait of the Hulstlander), but I hope that he will grow out of this and prove a valuable buck within the stud.
